Jerry D. Spangler is an archaeologist and professional writer based in Salt Lake City. He has written several technical monographs on the prehistory of the northern Colorado Plateau, and is recognized as an expert on the prehistoric peoples of the Tavaputs Plateau. His wife, Donna, is an award-winning journalist in Salt Lake City.
