This American edition (the book was originally published in England) is very rare. I saw only one other copy. This one is distinguished from that one by its very good condition. You can see the red covers in the photographs provided. They are exceptionally clean and they have very little wear, a tiny crease at the top right-hand corner and a little crinkling at the spine ends, nothing else. This book is square and straight, solidly bound, no spaces, no cracks. The pages are exceptionally clean. They are also bright. They are in excellent condition with only a few imperfections: the first 20 pages have a tiny crease at the very tip of the top right corner (take a look at the photograph of the title page), also off the bottom edge of the half-title page there is a 1 1/2 inch clean scuff which I actually created by running my finger along the juncture of the opposing pages because over that bottom1 1/2 inches the two pages were bound too tightly. Now it's perfectly aligned from top to bottom but there is little scuff from the two pages being separated at that spot. The last imperfection is a very slight spotting or discoloration on the inside covers and blank end papers. There's absolutely no spotting or discoloration on any page with print on it, that is not on any other page in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photographs . It has held up quite well. It is clean. It is NOT price-clipped. The flaps are in very good condition with just a little bit of crinkling. As you can see, there is a little bit of rubbing/scuffing at the top of the spine, also at the top right-hand corner of the front cover. There is also a tiny tear on the rear cover above the word Arcadia near the top. The dust jacket will be fitted with a protective cover.
