The author, in her preface states that she intends to clarify recipes, to make them easier to understand and to take them step by step. Having said that I have read again and again the instructions for Water Toast (p.62) and am completely mistified as to what one should end up with, it sounds disgusting, a soggy buttery pap. (10299).
