A clear and easy-to-understand textbook for all those concerned with the study of human movement and its abnormalities. The new edition has been expanded and partially rewritten to bring it up to date. Users and reviewers of the previous edition have been consulted and the text has been changed to meet their demands and needs. Compared to other books on the same subject this one is much more concise, more user-friendly, and extremely good value for money. Features: * takes the reader through the biomechanics and physiology of normal movement, including growth and development, before moving on to problems associated with abnormalities * explains how to recognise abnormal movement and identifies causes of abnormal movement * details the remedial actions the therapist needs to employ in order to restore normal movement * the text has been co-ordinated by skilled and experienced editors who themselves are in direct contact with the needs of students as they head a degree course in the UK * since the publication of the previous edition the suggestions and needs of users and reviewers have been taken on board and the book has been updated and improved to accommodate their wishes
