Dated using Jisc, from copies of the work held at the British Library. Wilhelm Lamszus was a German teacher and author who was known for his anti-war writings, such as this one. At the time of the Nazi regime in Germany, Lamszus was immediately dismissed from his teaching post due to the nature of his writings.This particular novel was written two years prior to the First World War, with the full name of the novel being 'The Human Slaughter-House (Scenes from the War That Is Sure to Come)', foreshadowing the coming events.
