nicely half bound in half brown morocco with brown paper covered boards. Backstrip darkened from age and dry. Content near fine. The contents are pages 253- 383 from the museum's 1890 report and are separately bound here along with plates 1 to 47 from the original as well. The plates are all present and printed in b&w on good paper. There is very light foxing in some places, but the plates are all very good, though humming birds are always better in color. Robert Ridgway accompanied John Wesley Powell on some of his earlier explorations of the Colorado River and by 1892 he was curator of birds for the museum. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 2329
