The Hymn of the Robe of Glory: The Lost Teachings of Jesus: The Journey of the Soul, the Robe of Glory, and the Parable of the Prodigal Son + Echoes from the Gnosis Collection Vol. X - Gnostic Books

One of the most beautiful and profound works of Christian Gnostic literature. An essential book for understanding the lost teachings of Jesus, the journey of the soul, the mystery of the Robe of Glory, and the parable of the prodigal son. A beautiful work that addresses the mysteries of early Christianity. THE LOST TEACHINGS OF JESUS: THE JOURNEY OF THE SOUL G.R.S. Mead introduces us to one of the most moving and symbolic texts of the Gnostic tradition: the celebrated Hymn of the Pearl, also called the Hymn of the Soul or the Song of Liberation. In this work, Mead calls it The Hymn of the Robe of Glory, revealing its profound spiritual and Christological meaning. The poem tells the story of a heavenly prince who descends into the material world to recover a pearl guarded by a serpent. To fulfill his mission, he must leave behind his radiant Robe of Glory, temporarily forgets his origin, and pass through the sleep of matter. But the ancient poem does not speak only of a prince: it speaks of the human soul, of its fall into forgetfulness, of its awakening through Gnosis, and of its triumphant return to the Father. For Mead, this hymn preserves an even greater mystery: it is a song to the mystery of Christ, an image of the Redeemer who descends into the world to recover the divine spark lost in man. A BOOK OF GNOSIS, CHRISTIANITY AND BIBLICAL SYMBOLISM The work includes not only the hymn, but also an extensive introduction and enlightening commentaries on the symbolism of this beautiful ancient spiritual poem, its relationship with Jesus, and other ancient spiritual knowledge. Mead relates the poem to the Gospel of John, the Logos, the parable of the prodigal son, the descent of the soul, spiritual awakening, and the glorious return to the Kingdom. A book about salvation, the memory of divine origin, and the true meaning of the inner path. The Hymn of the Robe of Glory is an essential work for those seeking a more revealing Christianity in its teachings, in the journey of the soul, and in the knowledge of God.
