Interessante plaquette nella quale si rende conto della polemica fra le istituzioni pontificie e il Lettore di Filosofia Alessandro Rusconi circa il metodo di insegnamento nella scuola di Cento, attraverso un'introduzione e sei documenti, l'ultimo dei quali contiene la risposta del professore alle ultime disposizioni, scritta ?tanto per amore del vero e del bene, quanto per esimersi da quelle colpe, che saranno sempre imputabili al metodo? La scuola fu fondata per iniziativa del Comune di Cento nel 1821; assorbita dalle scuole del Seminario Arcivescovile nel 1827 rest� tuttavia mantenuta a spese del comune, che ne nominava il professore.
