Beschreibung
Second edition from 1720 in six volumes: I (250pp), II (242pp), III (225pp), IV (267pp), V (249pp) and VI (190pp plus index). Contemporary full leather binding. The title and volume number panels have been lost on all the volumes. The volume numbers are stamped on the spines. The spines have chipping at the tops and bottoms with a little loss from volumes II and V. There is a little cracking to the edges - the binding is firm with the exception of volume II where there is a gap at the bottom and volume II where the front panel is unfortunately detached. The corners are bumped with some rubbing and fraying and there is some light surface wear to the front and rear panels. Name of a previous owner in ink to the front free endpaper - Lady Wale of Shelford near Cambridge. There is the bookplate of another family member on the front pastedowns. Browning and some spotting to the endpapers. Volume I has a little more wear to the spine than the other volumes, a small piece missing from the edge of the front free endpaper and page 218 is loose. Volume III has a little creasing to the top corners at the front of the book. Volume IV has some staining to the tops of the pages. There is light browning to the pages with some spots and marks in places and in particular to the pages at the front of the books but the pages are otherwise generally unmarked. Heavy item due to it being six volumes so there will be an additional postage charge for overseas orders. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 019798

Mehr InformationOrders usually ship within 2 business days. Due to the introduction of EPR Abebooks is no longer able to take orders for my books from customers in Germany. If you are in Germany and wish to order one of my books you will need to contact me and order directly paying via Paypal or by direct bank transfer.
UK Orders: Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 lb, or 1 kg. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
European Orders: Shipping costs are based on books weighing 800g. For European orders I have only quoted a price for air mail. Not all European countries have been added so your shipping may appear high. Please note that I will adjust the charge I make if this is the case and postage to Europe will be lower than the rest of the world. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
Other overseas orders: shipping costs are based on books weighing 800g. I will generally use whatever method is covered by the standard postage charge but if you specifically wish to have it sent surface or airmail or anything else please ask and I will amend the charge accordingly. Please only choose the cheaper surface mail option if you do not mind waiting - the suggested upper time limit for this form of delivery is 60 days and it can take that long - and sometimes a bit longer. If therefore you wish to receive the book in 2-3 weeks then please opt for the more expensive postage option which will guarantee airmail delivery. If you are buying a small paperback or another small book then the postage and packing will generally be reduced by £1.50 and I will reduce the charge before processing your order.
Books are usually wrapped in bubblewrap and then in cardboard. Please ask if you have any particular requirements.
