Contents are in sections: Moral and Miscellaneous Essays; Historical and Biographical Readings; Ancient Eloquence; Dramatic Readings; Readings in Natural History; Poetical Readings. With many black and white illustrations and decorative chapter headings. Condition: Very Good. The cover is a little marked and faded . There is a black mark on the back cover. The bottom of the spine in particular is worn; the top of the spine and the corners are soft. The pages within are, but for occasional marks, reasonably clean. There is one crack in the hinge.
