Illustrations relating to The History of Manchester & Salford and the Surrounding District. Published by Sherratt & Hughes in1932. Twenty nine printed cards measuring 11 x 13 inches detail the history of the area from Prehistoric times to 1846 and the repeal of The Corn Law. The cards sit in a black folio with a white paste down label on the flap. A six page booklet, with preface by professor E. F. Jacob provides an introduction to the plates. Condition: Very Good. The plates are very clean, un-thumbed, apparently unused. The pamphlet is clean, un-thumbed; just a little foxed on the front cover. The case is very worn, somewhat torn along the fold and slightly worn elsewhere. The bellows are worn at the corners but still strong. There is a white mark on the front.
