Third impression of original edition, first published in 1902. Reddish cloth with color inset on cover. Covers slightly unevenly faded, upper tips slightly frayed, a very good copy. Christmas, 1903 ownership inscription on front free endpaper. Indeed well preserved, as a small square leaflet is still laid in for another McClure, Phillips title. Scattered throughout the book are several large tree leaves, also nice, well preserved specimens that have not offset onto the page openings where they are found. Illustrations are by Ernest L.
