Stothard, hardcover, 8vo, 10. 5 x 17cms or 4 x 6.25 inches, bound in full polished calf, elaborate gilt decorated spine, raised bands, title label inset on red morocco, gilt lettered, all edges marbled, marbled endpapers, Provenance: with the armorial circular bookplate of Campbell of Stonefield affixed inside front board [probably John Campbell (1788-1857) from Argyll in Scotland who commissioned the construction of the present Stonefield Castle], good condition, Edward Moxon, London, 1839. * this epic poem was inspired by Roger's own tours of Italy, where he visited Byron and Shelley.
