Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

This is the autobiography of left-arm swing bowler John Kenneth Lever, who is still going strong 22 years after making his county debut. He played his first championship game for Essex in 1967 under the captaincy of Brian "Tonker" Taylor alongside such future stalwarts as Keith Fletcher, Ray East, Stuart Turner and David Acfield, who were to form the backbone of the championship and cup-winning sides of the eighties. He tells us what really happened during the "Vaseline Test", he discusses how the rebel tour to South Africa was hatched, he analyzes the test captains he has played under such as Brearley, Botham, Gower, Fletcher and Gatting, and he examines the Gooch phenomenon. Finally, he offers views on the decline of the England test team and points the way forward for the first-class game. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.

We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
