1939. Fair condition with no wrapper. Large format. Blue cloth spine. Pictorial front cover shows a snow scene with a tortoise being surprised by a snow ball. Colour frontis + 4 other colour plates. Two-tone and b/w strip pictures. First story is 'The Shipwrecked Mariner'. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers grubby, pencil scribble to front cover. Ink name stamp and a couple of letters and lines to front endpaper, drawing to verso. Front joint and a few hinges cracked. A few margin tears, some marks and colouring to contents, also foxing.
