Comic book-sized paperback book. Cover is by Walt Kelly. Dated May, 1969. Page 2 starts an essay entitled: The Pogofenokee Swamp, Written especially for Jack and Jill readers By Pogo. Obviously written by Walt Kelly, it is illustrated with all the main Pogo characters, including a sketch of Kelly working on a drawing board, and ends on page 7. Book has edge wear and tiny dog-ears and an inch-long split at the bottom of the spine, barely visible, also one might say 47 years of soiling, however faint. 64 pages. Crossword puzzle on a rear page has been worked, partially, with a ball-point pen, it looks like. The inside of the rear cover is also used as an illustrated page. The other illustrations in the book are not by Kelly. Binding, with staples, seems tight and square.
