Jeffery's Jungle is a playful children's books for ages 4-10. Written by Reid Genauer and illustrated by Alan Close. It chronicles the mischief a young boy and the power of his imagination. Genauer writes with a style that is lyrical and bouncy - "fun children's poetry". Close's illustrations are as animated and mischievous as the character they represent. Inspired Shel Silverstein and in the spirit of "Dennis The Menace" Jeffery's Jungle is fun read for any age.

Reid Genauer is a singer, songwriter and storyteller. He first took the national stage with his band Strangefolk in the early 90s and again with his second group Assembly of Dust in 2002. Genauer's music recalls the likes of The Band, Traffic, The Grateful Dead and Neil Young. He has taken early 70's Americana swagger, and given it a funky spin, earning him and his groups comparisons to the next generation of Americana heroes including Ryan Adams, Mumford and Sons, and Wilco. He has collaborated musically with Richie Havens, Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, John Scofield, David Grisman, Grace Potter, Mike Gordon (Phish), Phil Lesh (Grateful Dead), Dickey Betts (Allman Brothers Band) and countless others. Jeffery's Jungle is his first children's book. Cars, bunnies, flames, bikes, zombies - you name it. He lives with his wife Sara and their two sons Lucas, and Neven in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Don't ask how he and Reid became friends because it's an old, long and convoluted story that neither of them probably remember very accurately.
