Über die Autorinnen und Autoren: Ginger Swift loves writing books to read aloud to babies and toddlers, especially if there are playful flaps to lift and surprise. Ginger believes that you should read to your baby from the day they're born - if not sooner!

When Ginger Swift isn't writing, you can find her wearing oven mitts on her hands and cookie batter in her hair. She lives in Chicago with her family and a kitty named m&m.

As a child, Monique loved drawing, imagining and creating.

When she came to the crossroads of choosing a career path it became clear that becoming an illustrator was where her heart had always been leading her. At age 19 Monique headed off to the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, where she studied animation at City Varsity. There she discovered the magic of storytelling! She was then employed by one of the only animation companies in South Africa at the time, Clockwork Zoo. She had the opportunity to work on an animation for the Disney channel called "Florrie's Dragons". Today Monique is a freelance illustrator and her passion is creating images that encompass light, life, warmth and color.
