Jimmy the Giraffe is Book #1 in the Rescue Ranch Children's Book Series. The Series is one long rhyming adventure broken into separate books. Jimmy the Giraffe makes a mistake and plays hooky from school but in the end Jimmy learns a very valuable lesson. Each book will be an adventure that will teach a lesson, have a moral, offer advice or show good manners. The Rescue Ranch is a fictional farm with typical farm animals such as horses and cows and barn mice but it also has rescued animals from the zoo like lions, tigers, bears and giraffes. The Giraffe family was the first family to arrive at the Rescue Ranch. Some of the other zoo animals will also need a home in the future now that the zoo is closing. Some of those animals will end up at the Rescue Ranch but others will be sent elsewhere. In this setting the farm animals and the rescued zoo animals are thrown together only to become the best of friends. Told in rhyme, their adventures become the never ending story called the Rescue Ranch Children's Book Series.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Mark Albini grew up in New Jersey. He lived near a brook that was teeming with wildlife. He spent much of his time raising the animals he was permitted to keep at home. When he wasn't he was observing their behavior. Albini is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and now lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
