Publishers green cloth with gilt title within sporting border and gilt title and decorative spine. A vg copy with the plates in a fine bright condition. The title first appeared in the Sporting magazine in Volumes I-VIII and then in book format 1838 and 1839 with plain plates by Phiz. This is the first with the fine plates by Henry Alken.
