Complete in two volumes. Full speckled calf with gilt gauffered edges and elaborate gilt tooling on spine. Two title pages in each volume, the engraved title shows earlier date of 1797. Volume I with frontispiece portrait of Edmund Burke, at one time considered as the likely author of these letters, although they are now generally attibuted to Sir Philip Francis. Volume II with frontispiece portrait of the Right Honorable Charles James Fox. Small book dealer's label on front pastedown.
