Inhaltsangabe: One Can Only Enter Nede by Invitation...the Key is the Invitation

Twelve-year-old Billy Owen has a miserable life. His father has abandoned him and his mother is missing. And now he s been placed in an eerie foster home with a widow named Mrs. Lovett, who just might be a witch. At Lovett Manor, he meets Sarah, who is obsessively curious about a mysterious key in Billy s possession. Sarah s intuition proves true as the key leads the pair on an extraordinary journey to the Land of Nede in the invisible world a world full of danger, adventure, and discovery.

On their quest, Billy and Sarah must trek through a frozen forest, cross a golden bridge, and avoid being captured by Goth, the evil prince attempting to gain control of both the visible and invisible worlds. Finally, it is revealed that Billy is a chosen one - able to travel between the two worlds; and his secret powers may be the only hope for the future of the visible world.

Mrs. Lovett s face turned white, and she was trembling. She went to the shelf, searching till she found a small black book. She rustled through the pages; then held it open for Billy while she explained. This book tells of two worlds, one visible, where we are now, and one invisible world that exists within this one. Some people, they say, are able to pass back and forth between the two worlds; they are referred to as the chosen one. She stopped, her eyes wide, breathlessly awaiting Billy s reaction.
Do you think I am one of those chosen ones? he asked.

The characters charming personalities, coupled with the author s enthralling writing style, will transport you into the invisible world right alongside Billy and Sarah. You will see, hear, and feel all that they do in the Land of Nede!
