Green cloth boards extensively illustrated in gilt and black; all edge gilt, viii, 501 pp; bw illustrations. Includes 150 illustrations by W.S. Gilbert, the son of William Gilbert. 19th century fiction on seafaring life. VG- (shelfwear to boards, bookplate inside front cover of previous owner, light foxing spots mainly to beginning and end with most of the pages being very clean. Appears to be some slight old water damage to the front cover, ffep and title page bottom corner and very rear cover and end page corner not affecting any of the text or illustrations.).
