Book now in a new, removable, protective mylar sleeve Gibson Wayne, cattleman, finds himself with sufficient capital to start a large independent cattle kingdom. Looking about, he discovers that the great grazing ranges of Texas have already been preempted by the feudal barons of the cattle industry. Gathering a thousand head of choice stock and calling about him a dozen cowpunchers, he sets out on a long trek to the far Northwest where ample ranges can be had for the taking. Across blistering sands and lush valleys, through the country of the Comanche and the Apache, they fight their way onward to the land of promise. Finally the goal is reached, the land won. Then begins the battle to establish their supremacy and the rule of honest dealing. Wayne prospers, wealth comes to him in a constant flow from the increasing herds in the broad Hualpi Valley and he is king in fact over all the surrounding country. He grows older in peace and comfort - - then the first great threat to his sovereignty arises! How Gibson Wayne achieves final victory is a story of endless surprises and rapid-fire action.
