In this devotional classic, A.¿B.¿Simpson explores the profound spiritual transformation at the heart of Christian faith - the surrender of the self- life and the embrace of the Christ-life. Drawing from Scripture and vivid illustrations, Simpson contrasts the world's call to self-preservation with Christ's call to self-denial and sacrificial love. He teaches that true life begins only when the believer dies to self - to pride, ambition, and self¿will - and allows Christ to live through one instead. The book unfolds in two movements: "Not I but Christ" - a meditation on the law of sacrifice as the divine principle woven through creation, redemption, and daily discipleship. "Resurrected, Not Raised" - a reflection on the believer's new life in Christ, not as moral improvement but as supernatural resurrection power. Simpson's writing blends theology and practical spirituality, urging readers to exchange self¿confidence for divine dependence, self¿indulgence for holy service, and self¿love for Christlike compassion. His message is timeless: the path to fullness of life lies through the cross, where the self dies and Christ reigns within.
