First English-language translation by Jacques Le Clercq. In blue quarter cloth and blue paper-covered boards. Volume is somewhat loose, and with soiling and foxing at text-block edges. Interior bears some soiled spots. Tape-repaired dust jacket is largely intact, with toned spine and original $2.50 flap price; in removable mylar protector. The author was at work on this, his last novel, when he died.
