Lithographic poster 610 x 1520 mm. Beric Young [1902 - 63] was employed by the Ministry of Information during World War 2. Amongst his work were a series of target training posters for use in infantry and artillery training which were used to practise coordinatingÂthe fire of members of a section to a specificÂtarget, they are to beÂviewed at 4-5 yards.ÂAÂfire control order would be given to the men via GRIT (Group, Range, Indication, Type of fire) or the past equivalent and the shooters would then aim at that point on the poster and fire.
