Hardcover. The governor of Greifensee. Gottfried Keller (1819 - 1890) was a Swiss painter, poet, and novelist. He was one of the most popular narrators of literary realism in the late 1800s (Wikipedia). Alfred Cossman (1870 - 1951) was an Austrian graphic artist and engraver know for his book plate and greeting card designs. A collection of his bookplates can be found at Yale's Archives. A short story in German with lovely etchings. Bound in cream paper covered boards with gilt title to spine and front cover.
