Small octavo. 168 pages. Signed binding of full green Morocco leather by Riviere. All edges gilt. Marble endpapers and gilt inner dentelles. Foredge painting being a view of St Peter's Basilica and the Castel Sant Angelo across the River Tiber in Rome. Name and date to flyleaf. Spotting to preliminaries and crease to front free endpaper. Still a very good example with a unique foredge painting by an unknown artist. The book is now protected in a removable acetate jacket.
