Because the software is not time locked and because there is no site license fee for adopting institutions, students who drop the course one semester can return to that course later without having to pay for the use of the software again. The course management system includes a syllabus manager for customizing curriculum, a fully integrated grade book, and a free-response, completely customizable testing system that algorithmically generates a virtually unlimited number of exercises for print and on line practice and assessment.
