Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

Letters and Notes - Volume I. By Elinor Castle Nef and edited by John U. Nef. Printed by the Ward Ritchie Press. 1953. 22 + [499] pp. 9” x 6.5”. Hardcover. In good condition, with some chips and losses along edges and corners of dust jacket. Hinges remain in good condition and text block remains bound well. Includes three additions pieces: a booklet with handwriting facsimile by the publisher, a letter “marked copy” from Austrian opera librettist Gertrude Schoenberg (1898-1967), and a small slip from the publisher. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece on the life of Elinor Castle Nef (d. 1953), the wife of economic historian John Ulric Nef (1899-1988). Likely published shortly after Elinor’s death. Includes a small assortment of black-and-white photographs throuhgout.
