Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Dr. Joseph McCormick is one of the world's foremost authorities on Ebola and Lassa fever. He is also renowned as the first HIV investigator in Africa and the researcher who isolated the oldest HIV strain. Dr Susan Fischer-Hoch was born and educated here in England. Before joining the CDC she did pioneering work on Legionnaires' Disease, Ebola and Lassa fever. She and Dr McCormick were married in 1992 and are currently professors at Aga Khan Medical School in Pakistan.
