Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Gian Casper Bott studied art history at the universities of Zurich, Venice, and Florence. After periods of research in Rome, London, and Paris he was academic assistant at the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum in Braunschweig and at the Kunstmuseum Basel. Currently he occupies the same post at the Kunsthaus Zurich, where he played a major part in exhibitions on the still life, Niklaus Stoecklin, and Canaletto. His numerous publications include works on the still life, in particular the music still lifes of Evaristo Bascheni.
