Book/ Printed Card Sculpture. Linguaviagem: Poemcube by the Brazilian Concrete Poet and founder member of Noigandres movement, Augusto de Campos. 250 x 255 mm folded. Unfolds to cube shape (250 mm square, 255mm high) with three letters screen printed on each side - the outer sides in blue, the inner sides in green. The three letter groupings are LIN / GUA/ VIA / GEM. Therefore the letter groups combine (as is printed on one page) to make Lingua : Tongue / Via: Via/ Linguagem: Language and viagem : voyage. One of de Campos' most successful and famous poems. A beautiful poetry object/sculpture. Printed in an edition of 100 for the Brighton Concrete Poetry Festival, 1967. Condition: Light marks and minor indentations to the top right hand corner and surface of the blue 'GEM' face. Slight marks to the top of the blue 'VIA' face. Printers green smudge on green VIA face. Minor rubbing to edges, some blue and green surface marks from the green and blue ink (from the silkscreen printing process). Otherwise a clean fresh copy, no toning or spots. Overall: VG+.
