The first four volumes of the list of atlases in the Library of Congress. An attempt was made to provide as comprehensive a description as possible, with some atlases listing all maps and some only maps related to America. The first volume includes descriptions of 3265 items; the second volume is the author list and the index to vol. I. The third volume, published in 1914, contains descriptions of items 3266-4087, while volume IV, published in 1920, includes items 4088-5324.
