Originally ordained for the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, Father Charlie Urnick has been working for the Diocese of Las Vegas since July 1, 2008. His current assignment is as Administrator of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church along the banks of the beautiful Colorado River in Laughlin, Nevada. This is the only parish in the United States of America, and maybe in the whole world, which meets regularly in a casino! Yes, it's true! Each weekend, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church holds three Masses in Don's Celebrity Theatre at the Riverside Resort in Laughlin! This book is a collection of Father Charlie's sermons from 2009-2010 as he discovers more and more the beauty and power of life in the desert along the Colorado River.
