Boulton and Watt The Steam-Engine, pp. xii + 481 with 5 full-page plates and 61 line illustrations; ink inscription, and two small strange illustrations in prelims. Vermuyden - Myddelton - Perry - James Brindley Early Engineering; pp. xxxvi + 380 + [8] publisher's advertisements with 6 full-page plates and 49 line illustrations including 13 maps and plans, sticker on fep with photo of Smiles and his signature and the same small illustration as the previous volume.
