Livre Des Petits Garcons. Edition Illustre. Published by A. Courcier of Rue Hautefeuille, 9 Paris. Undated - presumed 1851. Size: 4 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches. Page number: 61 plus one page advertising other publications. Hardcover. Cream boards with blue surround and lettering decorated with coloured flowers, and in cameos a giraffe, a tropical island, a bear in the Arctic and an Arab on a camel. Within an A B C comprised of engraved figures and animals, hand-coloured in coloured paints; more alphabets, numbers and grammar, and four stories: Travail et Paresse, La Fete Du Grand Papa, Le Petit Jouer and L'Aumone, all decorated with hand tinted engravings by Delamain,S,r,Git-le-Coeur. Condition: Very Good. The covers are heavily rubbed and grubby. The pages are tanned and lightly foxed, slightly thumbed, with a few pencil marks, but generally clean. There was drawing on the rear end paper but this has been erased. There was a book sellers sticker on the front end paper but this has been removed. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 000757
