Spine has also sunned on jacket and there is a small tear to bottom back corner with a small loss of color and mild soil to back outer side edge. Book has not been price-clipped and is most handsome in mylar.Originally published in a run of only 219 copies in 1953. Written by the Caribbean poet who rose to notoriety during the 1930's as the leading propoent of "negritude", a philosophy that "rehabilitates" black culture and selfhood.
