Inhaltsangabe: WE LOVE OUR TWINS is a heartwarming inspirational look at a storied baseball franchise that has filled "Twins Territory" with great memories for the past five decades. Following the move of Calvin Griffith's Washington Senators from the nation's capital to the Twin Cities, and through the historic World Series Championships, up to the present and the new outdoor stadium at Target Field, We LOVE OUR TWINS brings the reader up close to what the organization has meant to the fans and the community since its arrival in 1961. From the Griffith family to the Pohlads, and from Harmon Killebrew to Hrbeck, Kirby Pucket, Carew, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau, it s all there between the covers in heartfelt passion. Hear it from those in charge of the trades, the draft, and all other decisions made in the organization, as the book engages the reader in the daily inner-workings of the beloved team. The farm system, the old Metropolitan Stadium, The Metrodome and Target Field all make their way on to the pages along with the front office, the managers, the radio and television broadcasters, and the players of the past and present. This is not just another book about baseball, but rather about the Minnesota Twins who have been successful by doing things the "Twins Way." As told from a fan perspective, the faces of the franchise and those behind the scenes make up the heart and soul of WE LOVE OUR TWINS!
