A sound and (almost) complete copy of Diderot's section on "Lutherie". All plates are present as called for, and the index to the plates is complete apart from a section, 7 cm. x 10 cm. torn from the top left hand corner of the first page. This leads to a small loss of text, but nothing significant. 2 small water stain areas affect margins of several pages, but do not deleteriously affect the plates.
