Tan cloth, decorated in red, black and gilt, lettered in red and black, fore and bottom edges untrimmed. Cloth a bit smudged and lightly handsoiled, narrow rust-like streak on upper board, bookseller's small foil ticket on rear pastedown, but a very good copy. Second, somewhat revised edition of Crane's first novel, first published pseudonymously in 1893.
