Volume 15 for the period 5th March 1831 to September 24th 1831. Book size - c. 8.25 x 5 inches, pp. eng. frontis + v + 1 ( errata) + 488, diagrams and illustrations in the text, hardback. Book condtion - Very Good ; recently re-bound ; with contents showing some dustiness, foxing, staining, off-setting, tanning to varying degrees and in different places but never to the extent of being disfiguring with the exception of one section (Issue 400, pages 81 to 95) in which the pages are very darkened, though completely legible, no inscriptions, inner hinges intact with new endpapers ; green cloth spine piece with red cloth on boards ; the cloths have been re-used from old books and so have the 'feel' for the age of the book; corners sound and boards edges all good, back with a few light marks, spine complete with ends just lightly creased and with paper title label in good condition and spine colour not faded, front board again just lightly marked. The contents cover an array of presentations and discussions of a multitude of items pertaining to mechanics and mechanical devices, together with many illustrations and diagrams, from a very productive period of Victorian inventiveness. Fascinating reading.
