A collection of 14 journal booklets kept by Maine Warden Service officer Clyde Speed. These are the hard copies he retained for his records. They list hours worked, mileage, and annotations of his daily activities, mostly during the mid 1960's. Speed was assigned to Division "G" which covers the most northern counties in Maine. Under the booklet heading "Statement of Duties Performed" Speed mentions checking sportsmen for licenses; looking for loose dogs; removing the occasional beaver dam; stocking trout & salmon and other sporting activities. Each booklet measures approximately 5.5"x11" and contains roughly 50 pages. For the most part entries are bright and legible. An interesting collection of Maine sporting memorabilia.
