4to, pp. x, [ii], 124, [1] advertisements; without the half title (stub visible); but uncut in old (possibly original) boards; rebacked. Small library stamp (many times repeated) of the public library, Hereford, throughout the volume. First and only edition. Luke Booker (1762-1835) was lecturer at the church in Wolverhampton, and had already published his poems, including hymns and poetry on sacred themes. Here he switches to a topographical theme, and seems to have acquired a good number of subscribers (listed on pp. v-x), including the wealthy poet Samuel Rogers and the topographer Stebbing Shaw. The same year, Joseph Cottle (friend and publisher of Coleridge) published his own poem on the same area, Malvern Hills, with Longmans of London. Johnson, Provincial Poetry, 103.
