The autobiography of a creative and eclectic life, first discovering Magic and being influenced by seeing Hermann The Great, and being personally encouraged by Hermann to study Magic, and becomming a competent performing Magician, he was further influenced by the likes of Keller, Thurston, Houdini, and Blackstone. In association with John Petrie they created Mysto Magic Sets, and eventually adding Erector Sets, Chemistry Sets, and his greatest creation being the American Flyer Toy Train Sets, also, Wireless and Radio Sets, he was a pioneer in Radio Broadcasting and he had the sixth licensed Radio Broadcasting Station in the United States, Station WCJ. Gilbert was also an active participant in Sports, and an ardent Big Game Hunter. Boldly signed on the front free endpaper signed A.C. Gilbert. Quite scarce and more so in this nice condition!
