Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Andrew Larsen is the author of several books for young children, including See You Next Year. He lives in Toronto, Canada, which has seven Carnegie libraries. On one of his walks, he passed an old library. He noticed an historical plaque explaining how the library had been built with money from a Carnegie grant. Curious, Andrew investigated further: when he read about the amazing life of Andrew Carnegie, he wanted to share it with young readers. Katty Maurey was born in Paris, grew up in Hong Kong, and now makes her home in Montreal, Canada. She has illustrated a number of children's books in French and English, and her work has been nominated for several major awards. Her interest in illustration was sparked by the many hours she spent at the library as a child, poring over picture books.
