A viable and sustainable solution for bridging the growing gap between fish supply and demand lies in aquaculture, which offers significant investment opportunities. Aquaculture production can be substantially increased by shifting from semi-intensive to intensive production systems, following global trends in fish farming. This book aims to educate and encourage investment in fish farming through simple technologies such as Water Flow-Through Systems (WFS) and Water Recirculating Systems (WRS) for fish production in concrete tanks. These systems can be established in small urban or peri-urban spaces, are easy to manage, and can generate profitable returns on investment.
