Ohio Edition of Jefferson's Manual Very scarce Columbus, Ohio edition of Jefferson's famous manual of parliamentary practice, with updated material not in the original 1801 edition. Includes the text of the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and amendments through the 12th appears on pages 135-159. This edition also includes a list of officers who have received thanks of Congress and have received medals by the vote of Congress, "for their gallantry and good conduct displayed in the service of their country": William H. Harrison, Andrew Jackson, Alexander Macomb, Oliver Hazard Perry, Winfield Scott, among others. There is also a table of the population of the United States for the year 1840. Thomas Jefferson's Manual of Parliamentary Practice, written in 1801 while he was serving as Vice President of the United States, is a foundational guide to legislative procedure that remains influential today.
