Folding map with no folder present. Very good condition, with short mended tears at two folds. There is a tab at the right side indicating that this at one time had a binding or folder. Full color by county. Inset map of Boston. Rail lines and canals, existing and proposed, are highlighted. This is a most interesting map, as it was among the earliest generation of lithographed maps by a major American mapmaker. This map was copied by Mitchell from an engraved version which he had first published in 1831. Published by Mitchell and sold by Thomas, Cowperthwait & Co. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers m01953
